Due to an inconsistency in how our trail coarse was judge for our show on 6.26.21 we have computed the following changes: According to our Rules & Bylaws, and our Official Trail Score Card, the highest possible score through 6 obstacles, and a score for eye appeal is 77 pts. Additional points were added by our judge for elements of the course that should have been judged as 1 single element rather than 2 or more. Additionally the judge had our old score cards that allowed for 1.5 pts. +/- rather than 1pt. +/-
In order to maintain consistency throughout our shows and in the calculation of end of year prizes it is important that we adjust the scoring of the trail coarse to meet our standards. In order to bring the scores in alignment with our 77 pts. possible we have calculated the days scores into a percentage of the 88 total possible points that were judged. This percentage is then used to calculate the actual percentage of 77 pts a rider should have scored. This adjustment has been made across the board so that all scores were reduced equally without changing the days placings in both the event and the overall class calculations.
(I.E. - Rider 1 scored a 79 out of the possible 88 points our judge was scoring. This means our rider scored an 89.77% on his/her run. When adjusted this 89.77% of the true 77 points possible is equal to 69.13 points which Rider 1 will now receive for his/her score.)
Any changes to the scores from which the percentage was calculated would only be in correction of previous calculation errors by the judge.
*THIS ADJUSTMENT IS CURRENTLY PENDING MVRHA BOARD VOTING FOR APPROVAL*
